Review : Quick and Dirty Tips - Grammar Girl

My first impression of this website, Quick and Dirty Tips, is interesting, useful, and charming. The website is good and useful for people who want to develop a habit of learning English every day. The length of every article is not too long, which just takes a little time to read. Not like some business magazines, their articles are long, and there are many proper nouns or some words we do not use in our daily life. For me, it is good to make me force myself to read two or three articles every day in order to improve my reading speed. Also, its dictions are not too difficult, so it would acceptable to read every day. It will be helpful for me to keep a habit of  reading.            I like dogs, and there is a topic that is about pets. CALL experience

My CALL experience is from my junior high school. At that time, my English teacher asked us to listen to the attached CD in English magazines. Because we had weekly listening tests and examinations of everyone’s note on books, we needed to listen to those CDs to finish our assignments. After being an English major student, I spend more time on CALL. For example, because of some courses, I have to use some foreign news website to look up some current events to prepare for oral presentations. And some classes needed to writing some essays, so I had to search some resources online and put them into my assignments.

Self-introduction

September 11, 2019 06121204 陳品蓉 Emily Hi, I'm Emily Chen. I'm an English major. I’m a junior in Soochow University. I like reading, swimming, cooking, and baking cookies. The book I read recently is “My Not So Perfect Life”. I had been a tutor and had two students. One was a junior high school student, another was a high school student. The subjects I taught were Math and English. I like swimming because I don’t like sweating. Therefore, swimming is a good choice for me to do some exercise and not to look like a person sweating like a pig. Since I entered the university, I also love learning Japanese. Because of abundant resources in school, I have many methods to improve my languages. This is why I like the English department of our university. My CALL experience is from my junior high school. At that time, my English teacher asked us to listen to the attached CD in English magazines. Because we had a weekly listening test and examinations of everyone’s note on bo...
